Book Review - SOMEONE ELSE’S SUMMER by Rachel Bateman

SOMEONE ELSE’S SUMMER

BY

Rachel Bateman

Anna's always idolized her older sister, Storm. So when Storm dies in a tragic car accident on the night of her high school graduation, Anna is completely lost and her family is torn apart. That is, until she finds Storm's summer bucket list and decides to honor her sister by having the best summer ever--which includes taking an epic road trip to the coast from her sleepy Iowa town. Setting out to do everything on Storm's list along with her sisters best friend Cameron--the boy next door--who knew that Storm's dream summer would eventually lead to Anna's own self-discovery?

MY THOUGHTS…

*I received a copy of this book from Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review*

What can I say? I was hooked. This book was one of the few that touched my heart and, through all the drama between Storms death and Anna’s family coping with it, I wanted for Anna and Cameron to find a way to say goodbye properly – they did just that.

I love the bucket list idea.

15: Be brave with my life.

This was an inspirational book in some ways, not that I’m saying that running off with the boy next door and getting a tattoo is inspirational, but number 15 on the bucket list certainly is.

I loved the character of Cameron. He just seemed so kind and was the kind of boy that you want in your life, which is why I thought that it was only the fact that Anna liked him that made them argue all the time. I also really want to go parasailing now!

Although I want to be brave with my life, I also want another thing off of the list to happen to me.

7: Kiss in the rain.
